Privacy Policy

Effective date: 18 July 2026

ClearVision Psychotherapy ("we", "us") is operated by Simon Hitchcock, based in Málaga, Spain. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why, and what rights you have over it.

Who is responsible for your data

Simon Hitchcock, trading as ClearVision Psychotherapy, is the data controller. Contact: clearvision.psychotherapy@gmail.com

What we collect

When you use the waitlist/contact form, we collect your name, your email address, whatever you choose to write in the "what brings you" field, and how you found us. We don't collect anything else about you through this site — there are no cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts currently in use.

A note on sensitive information

The "what brings you" field is free text, and people sometimes choose to share details about their mental health, past experiences, or personal circumstances. Under data protection law, this counts as a special category of personal data that requires your explicit consent to process. By submitting the form, you're giving that consent for us to read and respond to what you've written, for the sole purpose of responding to your enquiry. Please only share what you're comfortable including in writing — you don't need to disclose anything you'd rather discuss in person.

Why we collect it and our legal basis

To respond to your enquiry and manage the practice waitlist (legal basis: your consent, and our legitimate interest in running the practice). If you've shared sensitive information voluntarily, we process it under your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a) GDPR).

How we store it

Your information is stored securely using a cloud database provider. We don't sell, rent, or share your information with third parties, and we don't currently use any email marketing platform — your details stay in this system unless you're told otherwise.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry and manage the waitlist, and delete or anonymise it once it's no longer needed, or sooner if you ask us to.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it if it's inaccurate, ask us to delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email clearvision.psychotherapy@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the Spanish data protection authority (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, aepd.es) if you believe your data hasn't been handled properly.

Children

This website and practice are intended for adults. If you are under 18, please have a parent or guardian contact us on your behalf.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available at this page.
